MOVEMENT 3’44’’

UE-A&D | BERLIN, GERMANY | JAN 2018

MOVEMENT3’44” is a conceptual interactive installation designed to transform the visitors voice into an audiovisual experience. The use of playback recording and magnetic tape facilitates a real-time translation of audio into the medium of light. The often-negative experience of hear- ing one’s own voice is thus made positive via its transformation into a new medium, triggering a juxtaposition of feelings.

The main goal in MOVEMENT3’44” is to activate the viewers, and their space of reception. A space that is multi-perspectival, immaterial, transparent, and composed of streams of movement and energy. By shedding the light on sound as a medium of perception, it seek to eliminate of the conventional physical attributes of space, and replace them with an immaterial conceptualisation of self-made space.
